Missions Trip to Africa!

Pastor Nate & Kelsey will be heading to Niger, Africa this coming January for 10 days. As you think of them, pray! Pray that God would give them health, strength, and wisdom. They will be ministering to missionary kids who are facing many of the same challenges you face each day - just in another culture. These teenagers need encouragement just like you. Your prayers will make a difference!

Upcoming Information

* UNION GOSPEL MISSION PROJECT (December 8th) - Does your heart hurt for the homeless of Salem? Talk to Pastor Nate about seeing how you can serve!

* CHRISTMAS PARTY (December 17th) - It's our annual White Elephant Gift Exchange!! Find something cheap, gross, or funny. Wrap it up and bring it to youth group on the 17th! Plus, you'll get the chance to see "old seniors."

* SNOWBOARDING DAY (December 20th) - Do you like white powder? If you do and you feel you have the extreme need to skim across it on your board, talk to Pastor Nate to sign up for this one day extravaganza! Transportation costs and dinner will be provided for you! It's up to you to pay for the rest.

Fall Retreat Recap

We have a good group of high schoolers! More can I say? You all are awesome!

Our first Fall Retreat was a good one! We stayed at Son Lodge and enjoyed the rain for a good portion of the weekend. But it certainly was not enough to dampen our moods! We had a ton of fun together playing board games, eating yummy food (how about those BBQ ribbs?!), spending time in worship, playing welts, bonding together as a group, and learning more about the Lord as well as ourselves as we studied God's Word.

This year we included the ManHunt on this retreat (Jenna, you definitely take 1st place - best goth I've seen yet!). I'm still looking for the foodcourt at Clackamas.

One of our rooms at the lodge was flooded - and we could smell it! The carpets had been cleaned, but we couldn't get enough of the dehumidifier!

Speelman, your nine bowls of chili definitely kicked in at around midnight in the guys room. Girls, I've heard stories from your room too!

All in all, many memories were made. It was a sweet retreat. You guys are a sweet group! Keep growing and allowing the Lord to change you into the person He wants you to be.

EBC Youth Group Is Electrifying!

Come join in on the fun! Our high school youth group meets every Sunday night @ 7:00. Our junior high youth group meets every Thursday night @ 7:00. Our desire is to please God in all we do and we hope you'll sense that as you come and hang out with us!

Extreme Scavenger Hunt!

It was our first mix of junior high and high school youth - and you know what - it was a blast! The burgers, sausage dogs, and hot dogs were delish' thanks to Darrel & Jim. : )

Kari's team came in first (thanks to the $9 they spent - was it worth it?) and TEAM ALAN came in last, but they sure did make a grand entrance! The powerpoint pictures at the end let us all know that whether first or last place, all teams had a great time!

ATTAIN-Youth Convention 2006

It's YOUTH CONVENTION!
This year we'll be headed to Silver Creek Falls, the Beach and to Triangle Lake. We'll have a speaker--just for you, Dr. Brand Harper, worship, workshops, community service projects, great meals and so much more!
The cost is $90 USD/$108 CAD if you're money is in by June 12th
and $105 USD/$126 CAD if after June 12th--so don't put it off! Get a registration form from Pastor Nate today and sign up for all the events!

The 7 Project

It's coming here! Amity, Perrydale and Dallas High Schools will be gathering together at DHS on April 14th to experience "The 7 Project." The inflatables will be up at 6:30 pm and the Project starts at 7:00 pm. There will be pizza, soda, speaker, music, videos, awesome door prizes (like an IPOD?!?!)--and it's all FREE!!! See you there!

We're back!

What a great weekend we had on the HS Spring Retreat! Rachel is here in the office with Kelsey and we're reminicing about all the great times we had this weekend. The view of the ocean, the beautiful blue sky, yummy foods (especially the chicken enchiladas), late nights, silly games (think Rohan and a giant pacifier), cliff climbing, really big bowling scores (like 33, Ariel?), walks on the beach, free taffy from Newport, spitting down in the water on the dock (did you ever hit that post Jordan?)...and oh, so much more we can't even think of it all.

SPRING RETREAT

It's coming! And sooner than you think! Spring Retreat will be March 17-19, 2006. We'll be staying in Newport at a new place for us. The lodge has a beautiful view overlooking the beach and cliffs, pool table and foseball are highlights as well. Plan for lots of time in the Word, on the beach, with your friends, worshipping God, eating, laughing and having a blast! The cost is $40, sign up by March 14th or it costs $50! This photo is last years group that went, this year make sure you are in the photo!
